ScotchBlue to Tape as a Pattern. You don’t have to have a pattern, because our tape can be the pattern. Follow the simple steps below to create eye-catching designs, zigzags and angled shapes on walls, doors, furniture and other spaces.

  • A woman painting on a wall with a brush.

    Base colour

Paint surface with your base colour. (The spaces you tape will remain this colour). Then wait at least 24 hours for the paint to dry.

  • A woman using ScotchBlue™ Painter's Tape to outline shapes on a wall.

    Pattern

Now tape your painted surface with lines, stripes, zigzags, etc. Get creative and go free-form, or find a pattern from links below.

  • A woman rolling paint inside shapes on a wall.

    Second colour

Paint over your taped design. Two light coats of paint are better than one thick coat.

  • A woman removing tape from the wall to reveal painted shapes.

    Reveal

Wait 24 hours for the paint to dry. Then slowly remove the tape to reveal your clean, modern design.
